“My daughter and I tried this place on Valentine’s Day and let me tell you they have some of the best tacos I’ve ever had!!! the queso birria tacos were absolutely delicious perfect size and portion. My daughter had the taki tacos and those were super good also!!! We are definitely going back soon!! Excellent, very friendly service, I recommend it!“

“The flavor is good and the tacos are well proportioned, I just think it would be good to add more meat to the synchronized ones, the person who served us was friendly at all times. It's outdoors so I recommend having a coat on hand this season.☺️“

“I love coming here with my family. Sometimes there is a wait for a table but totally worth the wait. The staff is great but my fave is the cooked salsa. It's amazing. I always ask for my chorizo taco a little toasted. You wont be disappointed.“

“Just stopped because I was really hungry, they served! Absolutely amazing flavored meat with the tacos. I ordered the Matamoros for me and my spouse. It came with some beans in a small container and baked potato filling. Their red salsa is good ?. And they have aguas frescas.“

“There are many,many taquerias here in McAllen, some of which my husband and I have yet to try; but out of all the ones that we have tried- Taqueria La Patrona is undoubtedly in my top 5 list. Here you have the options of calling in your order and picking it up, arriving and ordering and taking your food home, or simply taking a seat at one of their tables and dining outside underneath their very well built and placed canopy dining area. We had a very kind and attentive waitress that not only was taking orders and serving all the customers, she was keeping the tables/dining area very clean at the same time as well. Speaking of clean, I feel the need to mention that i was very impressed by the fact that being a strictly outdoor dining establishment, they did have a clearly visible and accessible no-touch, portable, hand washing station. Their hand washing station is available/accessible to all customers and serving staff alike. I consider this to be very hygienic, and appropriate. The food was absolutely delicious; I had the fajita tacos and my husband had the birria tacos. The tacos were excellent on portion size and the quality of the meat was awesome, no fat, no grease, no over seasoning or under seasoning. They have a variety of other meals including- tortas, synchronizadas, burger with fries, among other foods. In conclusion, I completely recommend that anyone/everyone give them a try!“

“Love the food and the service is good. When I worked near the area, I frequented this restaurant on the regular. Every dish I had was excellent. Their “sason” is delectable. However, in all my visits, I never had the tortas. I was too busy having their enchiladas, Caldo tlalpeno, mole, taquitos, etc. I highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Mexican cuisine. “I have come to this snack place several times with friends and family. Their ice cream is really good, creamy and fluffy, they have a ton of unique flavor. There's always a line to order but it moves very fast thanks to the many employees working there“

“My son took us, loved it, what a great hidden jem. I highly recommend everyone go and have an amazing dining experience. Food is fantastic, the staff are super friendly, and Diego himself visiting with everyone rounds out the entire experience. Will be back to continue to sample more on the menu.“
