“To say that the food offered at Diego's Food Truck is delicious would be an understatement. There is something very special happening here, and I believe more people need to be made aware of it. Passing by it may not seem like anything other than the average food truck, but the appearance is deceiving. We have a young talented chef named Diego, very charismatic and charming, who apparently has no formal culinary training, who through trial and error has forged some of the best tasting food the RGV has to offer. There is no pretension here, just great food, great ingredients and great presentation. To miss out on the opportunity to sample this food would be an error. “Me and my wife visited thus place today and it was delicious!! I ordered the mamalona and a bacon hot dog and my wife just the regular burger. It's a place that if you guys are in the area you all should try! You will not be disappointed.“

“I love Mary and she's such a sweet and kind manager. She came up to the table to check in on us and make sure that everything was okay. The food was delicious. The ice cream was amazing and they have a great selection of Fountain drinks I love that they're always playing classics as well over the speaker which I love. Get the patty melt w/mayo 10/10 would recomend“

“This is the place to be on Sunday nights in the valley. No other establishments across the valley can rival it. It's beyond lively with the amount of patrons. However, majority don't show up till midnight or slightly later. Meanwhile, the service at the bar is hit or miss. Possible favoritism with certain people but that is also any bar. Like it's packed, but not Friday/Saturday slammed. Additionally, they include a 20% gratitude. Maybe fellow patrons were being cheap? Idk. For the record, I have yet to eat there. Does have a decent amount of high tables and some booths however.“

“The food was great and as expected except for the nachos. The sauce was kind of thick and they didn’t put enough for the amount of chips. The service was okay. They’re not very friendly but it could have been a bad day. The atmosphere was clean with exception of a fly or two that snuck in. Overall I would probably come back for another visit.“

“I absolutely love and completely recommend Downtown Chicken to anyone/everyone looking for an extremely delicious burger, the freshest and the juiciest fried chicken - that I have ever had! They do have other foods to offer - all of which I also highly recommend, and all of their prices are extremely affordable. In my opinion they are just too good to pass up. I consider Downtown Chicken a staple in McAllen history as they have been open and in the same location for as long as I can remember (which is well over 30 years!). The owner is very friendly, and caring, he is and always has been the order-taker/cashier/cook, his employees are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is very comfortable and clean. Despite being an outdoor place, it is very well ventilated and clean. They do have restrooms, which are also very clean : for paying customers and employees only - of course - and the roof is completely covered, so no eating in the sun. Whether you're shopping downtown or you just have a craving for some delicious food, Downtown Chicken is the spot to look for! I finally remembered to take a photo!, the nachos and everything else was basically finished so they aren't completely in the photo, Lol! “A group of friends and myself visited IHOP about 9:30pm. It was about 12 in our party. The seating was not an issue, and we were seated comfortably by our waiter. Everyone ordered and our drinks and food came out hot and at a reasonable time. I especially want to commend this particular IHOP for their very clean and fresh smelling men's restroom. A clean restroom says alot about the restaurant. Kudos!I do have one suggestion that I think needs to be noted. When there is a large group, the waiter or waitress should do their best to separate grouped tickets. Placing all item on one ticket can pose a problem, especiallywhenthecustomerask fir everything to be put on separate tickets. In my experience visit, I was the last to pay for my meal. The employee noticed that there was still a meal that wasn't paid. I didn't have to pay it nor was I obligated to do so, but I did so because these were my friends, I know it wasn't done intentionally and I didn't want IHOP to get shorted either. Clearly it was an oversight, but this is what happens when everything is put on one ticket, not all the time but it can happen, someone gets stuck paying for something they didn't order. Good beginning experience but a sour ending.“
“Good place for a good burger....has the "Sunshine" burger....it is a sloppy one to eat ...but tasty....adult beverages (draft) were nice and cold. Good spot for large group of people to get together. The screaming toddlers in the bar area were a slight pain in the 6 O'clock....once they left it was better.“
