I had something you just can't find in Colorado, Caldo de Res. At first the bowl looked small, but looks can be and were deceiving. I walked out completely satisfied.

“Food was good :) I only ordered a side of hash brown but i liked it better than many other restaurants’. The server was helpful and amicable. I felt like i was at a family member’s house :). They were also giving away cake because of a party their family had recently. It was soooooo good. Some of the best cake I’ve had :)“

“First off, love the name. Stop here if you want freshly-made AND tasty burritos. I ordered the potato, cheese and green chili burrito and it was so good and filling. The cashier was friendly and quickly sent our order to be prepared. If you're in a hurry you can call in your order ahead of time. They have coffee and various flavors for it. Price is good and I'd definitely recommend this place if you're driving in from through the Tornillo port of entry. Also, it is a quick 1.5 miles from I-10 East/West and Fabens Rd.“

“Excellent home cooking. The Comida Corrida consisted of your choice of soups - I had the Caldo de Res...excellent with corn and lean cuts of beef. It also comes with 2 tacos - your choice - I had the Deshebrada (Brisket) Tacos. Lightly fried. Includes your drink - I had brewed Ice Tea. All for $7.99. Scrumptious. A delightful find where everyone soon knows your name.

Sofia is always here and when you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm smile and welcome from her, her daughter Nancy, and the comforting home-town atmosphere. I always feel like I’m inside a huge family dining room. My go-to is the Plato Mexicana and it never disappoints. Their burritos, flautas, burgers, enchiladas, and breakfast items are also really good. These are just our normal orders but everything is phenomenal. Love that they also bring you chips and salsa with a cup of whatever caldo they have that day (menudo, Fideo, posole, etc.). Will forever be loyal customers here, and you won’t regret if you are too.“

“The food here is so so. Usually I get the shrimp quesadilla and it’s really good but they overcook the shrimp this last time. I do like going here to watch the football game on Sunday. When the Cowboys are playing they give out little raffle tickets and at the end of every quarter they call a serial number from the tickets and if it is, you win a prize. Good prices on beer. Only thing I don’t like about this place is that every bartender makes a margarita differently. Some put orange juice in it some don’t. In my opinion orange juice does not belong in a margarita. So if that’s not your style just request no orange juice in it, and they will accommodate. Servers are very friendly and attentive.“
