I don’t even know where to begin when it comes to expressing how absolutely incredible Megan is behind the bar at Gecko. If I could give her more than five stars, I would do it in a heartbeat, because she doesn’t just make drinks—she creates an entire atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours on end. From the moment you walk through the door and catch a glimpse of her working her magic, you know you’re in for a fantastic night, because she truly...read full review
Megan at Gecko is truly one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. From the moment you sit down, she makes you feel welcomed, appreciated, and completely taken care of. Her personality is so warm and genuine, her service is flawless, and she somehow manages to remember exactly what everyone likes while keeping the entire bar smiling. She goes above and beyond in every possible way and turns a normal night out into an experience you actually remember....read full review
Came in expecting a cafe/restaurant and was surprised that it had more a sports bar atmosphere. Food was mediocre at best, service and prices were decent. This place is not nearly as high quality as surrounding restaurants. Probably a fine place to drink and watch a game, not great for lunch/dinner with the family.

Based on the reviews, Cafe Gecko Fairview - Bar & Grill is a bar food spot, not fine dining. Service is quick, and it is a great place to bring kids and fur babies. The dog-friendly, covered patio was cool, and the server treated the dog well. Drinks are poured strong, with no complaints from the bar. The pizza was good, and the blackened fish sandwich with waffle fries was way better than expected. The key lime pie was also good. The veggie burger patty was cold and lacked flavor. The beef quesadillas and shrimp quesadillas were both delicious. The atmosphere is fun, with poker tables going on a Sunday evening. The decor was a tad hum-drum. Overall, it is a surprisingly stellar dining experience, with a great lunch for local meet ups.
