Biscuits & Gravy: Exactly the comfort food you’re looking for. Fresh Fruit: You can tell it’s actually fresh, not the canned stuff. Chicken Fried Steak: It’s a good, reliable choice. That said, I’m still chasing the dragon—I really miss Fullers Chicken Fried Steak, which was in a league of its own. The Lowlights: The Grilled Chicken: Honestly, it’s terrible. I’d skip it entirely. Presentation: They really need to start using a wax paper liner under the food. It’s a small detail, but it makes a huge difference in the experience. “We had a great experience at the Diner in Tyler. It was our first time there and we will be back. Melissa was amazing and attentive but not too much so. She really did a great job of reading the room and understanding when to approach us. The water was outstanding and with that you know the food will be quality. The coffee was excellent and the portions were great plenty to take home. Prices were lower than expected which was a bonus! Thanks for excellent service and great first experience. “Very good food and service! I ordered the "lunch special" with pork chops, mashed potatoes, and green beans. The chops were nice and juicy, with brown gravy. If I would have known how big they were, I would have ordered the "senior"pork chop, which came with only 1 chop. I couldnt finish it all. The potatoes were instant, but very well seasoned. The only thing that kept me from giving the food 5 stars, was the green beans were still a little crunchy. My wife ordered the senior CFS; It was large enough that she could only eat half. It was a frozen, pretty breaded patty, but very tasty. The cream gravy was from a mix, but tasted like Pioneer mix, which I think is the best mix out there. We will return next time we are in Tyler, as I want to sample the Mexican menu.“

“They were crazy busy lunch rush but my food was cooked perfectly and it was pretty wasn't all slapped together. I got the blt with fries to go. The employees at the register were friendly and calm and collected they repeated my order and for it being very very busy I was surprised that I got my food pretty quickly and everything tasted fresh and the fries were nice and hot and the price was not bad 7.99 +tax drink not included. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant 😋“

“the atmosphere in this restaurant is such a vibe. they have some of the best servers. very attentive and on point. some of the most delicious ramen I've ever had on top of their sushi is just phenomenal. my favorite is the takoyaki October balls I just can't get enough of it. everything so far I've had here has been amazing and I can't recommended enough. “The people who own the restaurant are super nice, hardworking people! The whole family have jobs there. Mom, dad and their girls. The food is awesome! I totally recommend to go there for top notch Chinese food. The restaurant is always clean. I've never used the restroom there so I can't comment on those. I order from a selection of a few things. The beef and broccoli-just great! It was a bit better before the cook(dad) hurt his shoulder (I think). Then it's sesame chicken, orange chicken, pot stickers or lo mein. All just great! Not sure if it has MSG or not.“

“We were visiting Tyler and staying at a Hotel. Wanted mexican food for dinner to take back to the hotel. Mercado's did a wonderful job. Ordered nachos and margaritas to go.
