Kurogi Ramen and Sushi is a small, clean, and cozy restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. It is not suited for large parties, as it has about 13 tables, mostly for couples and 3-4 person parties. The service is good, with a helpful staff and excellent service with genuine smiles. There is a sushi bar and a beautiful 80ish-inch tv over the bar showing sports.
The food is fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. Specific meals mentioned include Tonkotsu Ramen, hibachi salmon with fried rice, steamed pork gyoza, Yellowtail nigiri, katsu ramen, steak bento box, scallop bento box, chefs choice sushi, and calamari. The hibachi salmon with fried rice is $18, the tonkotsu is $16, and the gyoza is $7. The ramen broth is rich and filling, though the ramen could have been better flavored with not all that many noodles. The Yellowtail nigiri is very fresh and delicate. The sushi is one of the best to-go purchases, and the food is beyond delicious with great flavors and fresh cooked food. Yum yum sauce is offered, tasting a bit more tangy/tart. Overall, the restaurant is a hidden little gem with good quality and is highly recommended.
