We’re from out of town and wanted to come here as it was recommended by friends.We did not have a reservation so upon arrival, the hostess told us she could add us to the waitlist, that it would be a 20-25 minute wait, and receive a text as soon as a table was ready. Totally understandable and fair! Unfortunately we never received a text… pretty disappointing. Don’t know what the case might have been, but if they had a full house with no chance of getting a table without a reservation, I would have preferred to been told that. After almost 40 minutes passed, we went to another restaurant and never received any communication. Could we have gone back in to ask for an update? Sure, but as the customer I genuinely shouldn’t feel the need to.

Great Italian restaurant on West Main Street in Fredericksburg. It has ambiance service and food that's really great. I will return to this restaurant. My only concern is that the menu is a little pricey.

10/10 looks cute IS cute. Spent our one year anniversary here just because it looked cute online but we LOVED our entire experience. From getting help choosing our wine to the actual food itself - amazing service and great food. Noah, Belinda, and Veronica were great! We’re thankful for this experience as our first anniversary together and we will be back next year for sure!

Alla Campagna came highly recommended by both locals and visitors, so we were really excited to try it, especially with the $20 per person fee just to hold a reservation. The atmosphere is lovely, warm, and inviting, but unfortunately the food did not live up to the hype. My pasta was bland and flavorless, and my husband’s steak was mostly fat, lacking seasoning or quality preparation. To add to the letdown, several desserts and specialty items were out of stock. Overall, it was a disappointing experience in an otherwise beautiful setting.
We had a great early dinner here during our trip to Fredericksburg. We had the burrata caprese, lasagna, wild boar ragu and tiramisu for dessert. All of the food was delicious. Our server Belinda was attentive and made excellent suggestions. We will definitely make this a regular stop whenever we're in the area.

We were recommended to try the tiramisu here which was okay. Not the best but not store bought. The inside was beautifully decorated but very cramped and loud (both the people and the music were a bit overwhelming).
We were there in what seemed like prime time so this could have contributed the lack luster experience but the restaurant definitely seemed understaffed (because the waiters were running around and the receptionist seemed very stressed and kept disappearing to the back when there were people waiting to be checked in.)
Though they were sweet, they forgot about our to go order so we waited for our tiramisu for about 20 minutes before I went to the front to ask about it.
Maybe it would be a great place on a slower night but there are other places in Fredericksburg that I would recommend first.

Very nice Italian restaurant. The decoration inside is cute and very cozy. We liked the style. There was no wait time, but I can see that it gets busy later in the evening. The grilled calamari was too much charred for my liking. But the lobster ravioli and wild boar pasta were delicious.
