Messina Hof Hill Country Winery

I literally never ever leave reviews, but my husband and I came to hill country for a little getaway after living in College Station almost a decade ago! We remembered loving Messina Hof in town and were excited to visit the Fredericksburg location this trip. The staff were incredible from start to finish. Jan did our tasting and it was easily the best wine tasting experience we’ve ever had! Highly recommend going and ask for Jan or Lee!

Carmen was the very best wine server , she explained what to expect when tasting each wine tasting and was spot on each time! The service and the environment and the wine it’s self is amazing, highly recommend!

I first heard of Messina Hoff Wines at HEB. I love the Sangria and Beau wine. When my family and I visited Fredericksburg I knew we had to stop here. Pulling up the winery is a bit small. I was expecting something a little bigger. Vineyards are caged in with a fence, which was disappointing, I would have loved to walk up to the vineyards and take pictures.

Upon entering the winery it was a bit small, more of a wine tasting room. But still nice.

I was bummed that they don’t offer “commercial wines” like their Sangria or Beau wines, which was disappointing. But We ended up trying the sweet wine tasting. Our favorite was the peach and muscat wines.

Customer service was GREAT! Jan helped us out and made us feel at home and made sure we had water, and turned the outdoor fan on for us. She also recommended a few wines we loved. She is GREAT! Please give her a raise, this woman is awesome and so friendly.

The outside of the winery was also beautiful,. We loved it and hopefully will be back when we are in town.

Messina Hof is my favorite winery in Fredericksburg! They have the best dry red wines I’ve ever tasted! Their tastings offer options and are reasonably priced! Rachel was so amazing and had great recommendations! I absolutely love their spinach dip! It’s a must stop every time we come to Fredericksburg! They have both indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of space to sit and enjoy the wine! There are tons of parking available and easy to find before entering Fredericksburg! The staff are all friendly and very informative!

Recently visited Messina Hof recommended by Craig and Rachel and it was a great experience especially on a Thursday! Felt like family and left being a wine club member :)

Phenomenal experience at Messina Hof 🍷♥️🔥 winery Hill country! Craig is amazing! This winery should be your first and last stop while visiting Fredericksburg! I’m a wine club member and have visited each location and this one is the best! Come check it out! Highly Recommend!

Went for a Mother's Day brunch. For $50 per person I was expecting more. Paper plates and very mediocre buffet. Mimosas were good. Interior was nice but nothing about the grounds were worth seeing.

Really enjoyed the Mother’s Day event. Craig & Rachel were professional and knowledgeable about wines.
Alberto was a pleasant extra joy !

The Toasted Almond sparkling wine was lovely

Roger and Lee were awesome to interact with on a Monday right after the winery opened. They provided a great overview of the wines during our red tasting! It was great to chat about the other wineries in the area and get their recommendations for other places to check out on a future visit!

One of the most established wineries in the Hill Country. Great selection and knowledgeable staff.

Stopped in for a wine tasting. Joel was awesome and very knowledgeable! The wines are excellent. We also had a bite to eat which was great as well. Highly recommend.
