Being a geek, I began searching for a place to stay near Dallas for the total solar eclipse in April 2023! I have no idea how I found this place for the price that I paid, maybe my diamond status (?), but I'm clearly bragging. The first thing that I noticed was, what is that smell?? This place smells delicious! My check in was flawless. I then drove to the adjacent parking garage which is $22 per day and in/out is included. As soon as I exited the elevator to my floor I immediately noticed the hydration station. Perfect location! I filled up my water bottle. They also have glass bottles to fill as well as bottles in your room. The room was amazing. The design was very well thought out. My luggage was immediately placed in the open concept closet. The bed was a cloud. The shower was perfect. The included products; shampoo, hand soap and lotion were all luxurious and smelled great. The next day I enjoyed a nice buffet style breakfast before heading out. Real eggs not the fake ones. Fresh bagels and strong but tasty coffee. Every staff member was a delight but my favorites were Omar and Shaughn.

I mean it's a cute hotel tucked out by the Frisco Star. Just has an off feel to it. They were out of ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING sparkling at the bar. No Prosecco, no champagne so that was a bummer. Also the valet process is a bit weird and inconvenient ykiyk. Otherwise the room we stayed in was a nice one and I liked the hydration station. Also, the bathtub in our room was really cool. Big enough for like 3 people!

Probably 3.5 stars but rounding up bc of the front desk staff only. I was honestly shocked the rooms were as nice as they were here. The beds were soft and I loved the reusable bottles to refill with water. I waste so much plastic when I'm staying in hotels. I stayed with a group for a corporate event and while planning the event I was surprised at how horrible the booking team was. For 70 people they wouldn't allow early check in and told me they were sold out pre and post the event (which ended up being a lie). But the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff were lazy - they never emptied my trash or refill my shampoo. But this is a solid choice for Frisco and The Star - it's fairly new so it's shiny and nice. The best part of the hotel was the room size. It was massive with a separator between bathroom and bedroom.

Bedding was not cleaned or changed. Their was hair on the bed and we had not slept in it. Called front desk, they sent someone up with clean bedding. My husband opened the door to let her in and she tried to hand it to him, he said he wasn't touching the bedding, she looked at me. I told her the same. She said housekeeping was gone. In other words it wasn't her job. I called downstairs to ask for a manager. No Mgr available. I was telling the lady what happened and she hung up on me. My husband called and miraculously they found a room. At 1145 in the evening we were changing rooms because no one knew how to make up a bed. Never again. I paid too much for this.

I'm currently in my room here. This hotel has virtually no guests. Not sure why as it seems modern and clean. It looks brand new to me, but I was told that it's two years old. Reasons why I thought it was brand new is that there is no one here and there are areas outside that look as it's new construction. The parking that I did not know I had to pay for at $22 per night is behind and not connected to the hotel. It was 20 degrees out and had to walk all the way around the hotel to get inside because there is no back entrance. That part is lame. So far the people I have seen working here are nice, but they do not where uniforms or shorts identifying them as staff. I don't like that as I thought I may be asking a guest for help. I also notice some staff is more interested in their cell phones than working. That's not a good look for a hotel that is supposed to be nice. I ordered dinner chicken parm for dinner. They do not have plates or trays for the rooms, so it was put into a cardboard to go box. The food was not worth the $22. It was closer to what you'd get a kids school fundraiser. I'm regretting staying here. I would have been better off at Homewood Suites or Hilton Garden Inn. They are run much better and you don't have to pay for nightly parking.

By far the worst Hotel experience I've ever had. Will not be going back there. Gave them a chance and they failed.

The rooms were nice and clean. The food at the restaurant was awful. ordered a medium rare steak for $28 and was looking forward to a nice dinner. Well it came overcooked, dry and cut already, probably microwaved. worst ever!

Great overall, staff was very friendly at check-in. Location was very quiet and the hotel was also very quiet and calm. Our room was very clean and spacious. We had a short stay but enjoyed it. The only thing I did not expect was the parking fee. Valet and self parking was almost the same price and was nos accessible directly from the hotel we had to go outside and behind the building to the parking garage.

This a clean and neat hotel. I stayed here for a visit and wedding. The area is in the development stage. This hotel decor is relaxing and well decorated. The uniqueness of the lighting and furniture is awesome. The hotel has breakfast, lunch and dinner on the property. The outdoor patio was enjoyable. The room we had was large and well designed with the exception of the shower. The design of the opening and closing of the shower door is self health hazard. MPOV the shower door it's just close to the toilet. Upon entering the room you can smell the awesome room freshener. The sheets and pillows are amazing soft. The hand soap and body wash is AMAZING. The guess service was helpful polite and help. We were greeted upon arrival and departure of the hotel. The room has a small refrigerator and Keurig. Each floor has water and ice machine. Centrally located near the elevators. The mobile key actually works at this hotel. There is valet parking or parking self parking in the garage. There is a daily fee for self parking. This is 24 miles from Dallas Love Airport. Fur babies are welcome!

I really liked the location of this hotel. First, there is a large parking garage in the back, but be sure to check in first at the front desk because the key card is the only thing that gives access. The staff checking in were very nice and helpful. The rooms are clean, and I appreciate that there is an extra heavy door between the hallway and the bedroom which cuts down on noise. Everything was clean and well stocked and they are doing the eco friendly thing of filling soap, shampoo, etc. rather than providing single use containers. Along that same line, bottles are available in the rooms for guests to get filtered water. They have a happy hour most evenings with discounted wine and beer. Breakfast is also available, but is extra and comes at a hotel price - maybe $17 or so (unless you have status). The room comes with a small fridge but no microwave and I didn't see any extra amenities like a pool or gym. That said, there is a nice seating area out front large enough for small groups.

Usually stay at another Hilton facility and it was full. So reservations recommended The Canopy. What a disappointment! Walked in the room and the floors were very sticky. Like they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time or just used old cleaning water. The hand lotion had a rancid smell like it had been in that bottle for years. Once I applied it after washing hands I couldn't wash it off (it was that bad!). When we got ready to sleep, I laid down in the bed and I got a sour smell. I got out of bed and smelled the sheet and it smelled like a mixture of men's unwashed feet and undeodorized armpit. Like when you forget to take out the sheets out of the washer after a week. So they were prompt to change the sheets that evening and I was able to fall asleep. Only to wake up to that foul smell again which was coming from the mattress cover (or possibly the mattress). What I'm willing to guess is that wet towels (or bathing suits, or...) were left on that very spot and the moisture worked itself down deep. Valet guy (black) was rude and unhelpful with questions. I'm sorry to say that we won't be staying here again.

This is a struggling hotel. We are currently staying here and recognizing problems mentioned in other reviews. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is nice. The room itself is relatively clean and comfortable. Staffing is definitely lackluster. Checking in last night was a positive experience with the friendly agent on duty at the front desk who gladly assisted us in storing some food items which needed refrigeration for an event the next day. However, fast forward to 8:30 this morning when banging and drilling began right above our heads and we quickly learned that construction on the roof had been scheduled for all day today and no one bothered to notify us of that in spite of our room location on the top floor. The buffet breakfast is essentially located in the hotel lobby area and mediocre at best. One staff member wearing street clothes and a baseball cap stood in the back of the breakfast bar on his phone. The other employee also just stood around, both failing to replenish utensils, coffee, etc... Trash was stuffed behind a pillow on the sofa we were seated on and another sofa across from us was torn. Luckily as diamond members breakfast was free, as I certainly wouldn't have wanted to shell out $18 per person for those offerings. We stay up in the Frisco area periodically to visit family and luckily there are a lot of other lodging options to choose from, as we don't a anticipate future stays here.

I usually really enjoy staying at this hotel, actually it is one of my favorites when I'm doing business here in the DFW. I always saw this hotel as a little more upscale but I guess I was wrong! Emily was completely rude to my wife and I when we checked in. Wouldn't get off her phone, then when my wife said something she had an attitude with us. We just went to walk to the elevator and she mumbled "that's why you're a fat bitch" I couldn't believe my ears. We took our things and left. I couldn't even speak to a manager because my wife was so humiliated and just wanted to get out of there. Never again will I ever stay here and I will make sure to let everyone know about this experience. This business should be ashamed for having someone so unprofessional working the front desk.

Josie, the front desk clerk was by far the most professional, kind, empathetic, hard working, people pleasing worker I have experienced in all my travels (which is often). She is the employee that the hotel chain should model after. I heard other customers give glowing reviews about the service they received from Josie in the elevator. Just think about how rare it is for people to be still raving about the amazing service they received... it is by far Josie! What a joy and asset she brings to the Canopy everyday! So impressed and grateful I was lucky enough to meet her!

While waiting at the Welcome Desk to ask a question, I witnessed a young lady named Emely expertly, and with exceptional grace, handle a call from someone wanting to change reservations made on a third party site. She maintained a pleasant but firm response to the problem. As her call ended I asked my question and then we chatted a bit. Emely was the high point of a delightful and comfortable stay. I sincerely hope the hotel recognizes and rewards this exceptional employee.
