“Been coming here for a year or so and haven’t had a bad meal yet. Have brought a few different people for lunch and haven’t had anyone disappointed yet. There are times where the wait is longer due to large orders from the surrounding workers, but they’ll let you know it’ll take a few minutes longer. Would recommend.“

“Not a fan of McDonald's overall, but it is right down the street from where I work so I do visit it during lunch some days. As fast food joints go this one is really no different. It is clean and staff seem friendly enough. Not overly, but they are not rude.“

“Wanted to try a new burger place and came here. Got the Truck Stopper and the Spicy Chipotle with fries. Burgers and fries were very good. Appealing options for burgers. Liked the diner-style setting and vintage decor. Staffer who took our order was nice and made helpful recommendations. Interested to try their Chilis next time. There are a few parking spots in front of the restaurant; otherwise, I think people park in the street.“

“This was our 3rd time going here. Food is always great, but they were very slow today. Did an online order then waited 15 minutes in drive through to pick up the order, but no one came. Went inside for food & fries weren’t in there. Went back in to see if we could get our grand baby’s fries, but were going to have to wait in a LONG line so went BACk to the drive through & waited another 10-15 minutes and again were not acknowledged at the window. Very frustrating, but we love the food so much we will probably give it another try. Would be nice if they had a way to rectify the situation when an order is incomplete. If you call it tells you to order online & disconnects. 🙁 Seems like a busy business like this would have more help. Only one waitress and one cook. Get these folks some help, please.“

“I went there a couple of weeks ago and I asked for a hamburger no tomato easy lettuce extra pickles and onions when I got it to check it had tomato on it when I said no tomato today I ordered the same thing I went to check it it had tomato on it this is becoming a problem because maybe the guy making the burgers don't understand the writing or the way the lady is writing is that he do not understand it I'm so sorry to say but I'm going to have order my burgers someplace else because this is the second time this has happened the cook needs to wear glasses or the lady with the glasses needs to write it where they understand it don't let it happen the third time“

“Excellent experience! The good was great as it always is. The wait staff went above and beyond. At the end of our meal the waiter asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu. We said that we would love a slice of cheesecake. The waiter said “let me check.” After a brief moment he returned with a bag from Pappa's Bro's steakhouse from across the street with a cheesecake in it. They didn't have cheese so he went across the street to get us one and did not charge us for it. They made customers for life.“

“So, me and my girl wanted to grab lunch last weekend and I'm not trying to eat so much highly processed fast food nowadays. So, I found this place, which wasn't too far from where we were at. It ended up being a hidden gem to us. I love trying out new places and I love small mom n' pop places as well. My girl ended up getting the Philly Chessesteak w/ tots and I ended up getting the southern style burger w/ fries. 🍟 🍔 let me tell you, that grease running down that burger, reminded me of burger King, just not the highly processed part. “A group of 16 of us went for dinner. The staff was amazing in handling our group. Friendly smiles and healthy servings. The prices for the serving size is an unbeatable deal. The flavors are remarkable. As a native Texan and brisket fanatic I can honestly say some of the best in the state. Js is a true hidden gem.“

“We love their fried fish and the crave burger. We’ve eaten here a few times. It’s a good place to grab lunch. Not much of a dine-in experience. We order to-go. They usually have the order ready in less than 10 minutes if you call ahead. The prices could be a little cheaper though.“

“I am very impressed by their Philly Cheesesteak! I won’t lie that my expectations were not incredibly high when I got here (but they have been here since 1975). They make it fresh when you order which is great! The beef was tender and had a great crisp outside from the flat top. The bread was soft and toasted well. The toppings and cheese were cooked great too. I will come back to try other things for sure. The gentleman working the front was super nice and informative about what is on the food. The restaurant was clean and cozy. Prices are great too.“

“Had basically ordered something that was custom but just with everything on the menu and was very well received wasn't rude about anything and was very forthcoming with helping and just making sure that the time was overall good. I had ordered a double cheeseburger with bacon and egg and when I tell you that they were so nice and when I received the food it was so delicious never have I had anything as good as that. Really quite well-made burger for not an expensive cost. The atmosphere made it feel like you had traveled back in time before the digital era and could escape from it currently. Such a good place that even the chef coming out to clean, asked if we had enjoy the food and with a big grin on our faces able to say yes thank you sir that was wonderful. Definitely family-friendly Place fries are up to you to season.“

“This location is much cleaner compared to the ones I’ve visited in Pearland and Baytown. The food is made to order. I love hot food! The staff is nice and my Freddy’s Double was extremely meaty and cheese. The fries are always the best part of the meal, well seasoned and thin.“

“I saw a video on line and was surprised that my town actually had a hippo burger with in driving distance. 18 miles from my house and I will most definitely be making that drive again. I ordered the #6 mushroom Swiss and I added blue cheese to it with a cheese tater tots. Food came out hot and fresh and pretty quick I only had to wait about 5 minutes. The burger is huge cooked to a medium well with topping spilling out of the looks to be a potato bun. So good the tater tots were popping hot and good as well.“

“I was surprised in a great way. I had the BEST Philly cheese steak sandwich I've ever had here just now. And my wife gives their gyro sandwich with Greek salad two thumbs up.
Everything is cooked fresh.
My philly was super smooth easy eatin.. Not gristly, not laden with chewy fat chunks, not even greasy or dry..
Just pure amazing!
It's perfectly cooked, seasoned, and finished with grilled peppers, onions and cheese on a toasted bun.
It's in the almeda mall food court. I'll come back to the mall just for food from this mom n pop diner. You won't regret having lunch here and at a really great price too. Two full meals with drinks totaled just over $20 after tax.“

“First off I wanna say, Bussin! The food appearance is A-1 and the taste matches it’s style! I ordered the Mango Habanero wings n fries and they were delicious. They have a kick to em no lie with a nice hint of mango, so if you’re a person who like hot or buffalo, I recommend.“

“The food here is fire, I ordered a triple cheeseburger burger basket and wow when I took the first bite it was a challenge due to how big the burger was I had to give it a lil squeeze and everything was piping hot and delicious. The place could use some updating but trust that the food is delicious.“

“Barnaby’s never has given me bad service. Every location, including this one. The food is amazing with large portions. I have never had any anything I never disliked even though 50% of the time when I go there, I always order lasagna because it’s like hands-down my favorite thing on the menu. Everything else I have there is delicious. The salads are huge and it’ll take days to eat them. I recently had the French dip which is another favorite item of mine. I had my birthday dinner there two days ago at the Fairview location and everything was perfect. The staff did an amazing job accommodating the amount of guests I had. I had around 18 people and they were able to accommodate it without even having a reservation and that’s really hard to find especially this time of the year during the holiday season. It’s really hard having a December birthday considering people are celebrating the holidays and most restaurants tend to be super busy than usual and I appreciate everything the restaurant did the night of my birthday. It couldn’t have been any better. Thank you guys for giving me such a good birthday experience with all of my friends being together. The staff is always incredible going above and beyond. The food is always very delicious and large portions. If I could give any recommendations, I would love for you guys to get more cake flavors. I think red velvet would be amazing for you guys. However, I really appreciate everything you all did. Thank you.“

“This was my first time trying the food, and I must say it was excellent. The wings were perfectly seasoned all the way through, and I appreciated that they were whole wings, not just wingettes. The Kool-Aid was tasty, and the gyro sandwich was also well-seasoned. The wait time is a bit longer than usual, but since everything is cooked fresh, I didn’t mind. The location is in a somewhat sketchy strip mall, but just park, head inside, place your order, and leave—it's not an issue. While I wasn’t a fan of the fries, the main dishes were great. Bottom line: I’ll definitely be back.“

“I brought a burger home today to my 89-year old parents. Born and raised in Third Ward, Sparkles was a serious go-to back in the day. Boy did this bring back memories for them!! Mom, "Are they still in that blue building?" She was happy to hear they are about a mile closer. "The burgers and fries are as excellent as I remember," Dad said! And Mom says the fries are the best she has had in a very long time. Guess I'll be back in a couple of weeks for another burger and fries! Thank you for the consistency. And the memories.“

“The service was good. The older gentleman who helped me at the window was very friendly. The food was hot and fresh. I ordered the number eight, which is the chicken strip basket. It came with four tenders. The chicken strips had no taste. The french fries were OK really no seasoning or taste as well The butter toast was actually good and the gravy was OK. I might give them another Try and order a burger next time, but overall not a bad place Just wish the chicken tenders and fries had more seasoning.“

They have Mexican food, Salvadorian food, Fried Seafood, Baked Chicken, Fried Rice.....all very inexpensive But great quality. The ladies that work here are super nice.
