If you’re in Galveston for vacation or a local. I highly recommend Hendley Wine Co! Staff was very friendly and super knowledgeable about the wine they serve. There was a story for each wine which we really appreciated. I suggest you sit at the bar if possible and engage with the owner and the stories he has to tell. If you love wine, this is the place to go. We did not get to sample the food but witnessed people coming in to purchase to go food, so it must be good!

We just stumbled on this nice Afternoon delight restaurant/bar. It was so hot out there and everybody else was closing from 2 to 4 PM. Wow unbelievable. A Gentlemen came out to greeted us and convinced us to look at the menu. We decided to stay and try it out since it is so hot Out there. Surprisingly, the sandwiches were so awesome. Even for a Vietnamese family. lol.

Hendley Wine Co. is a hidden gem for wine tasting and food in Galveston. Wine glasses range from $13 to $16, and sandwiches range from $11 to $13. The best turkey sandwich and the Cee Brie (jam, Brie, Turkey, and apples?!!) are favorites. The Sicilian sandwich is also delicious. Pesto grilled cheese is a favorite for those who do not drink. Service is fast and the owner is so nice. Staff are friendly, super knowledgeable, and personable. The indoor area is pretty and peaceful, perfect for aesthetic photos and chatting. Pet friendly adds a cherry on top. Live music and open‑mic nights are sometimes held. The food selection is great, and the atmosphere is cute. It is a place that visitors will frequent and residents will love.
