Went as a last-ditch effort to find a table on Saturday evening. $$$ for grease soaked, fried food. Mushy, shell-filled fried oysters, tasteless onion rings, boiled shrimp was room temp, and the coleslaw warm. Spent the night puking.

For Ave O Restaurant: Great seafood, friendly service. We had fried shrimp and gumbo. Was good. Gumbo needed salt, roux was above average for Galveston. Ask for extra horseradish with shrimp sauce. They forgot salad dressing, went back and got hooked up. Long time customer. Don't sweat the small stuff.

The counter was confused initially by my order. But once the others quieted down. It was perfect.
If you come to Galveston, just don't leave without eating at Shrimp N Stuff.
