“I can't explain how happy I am that we finally have Chicken Express in Gilmer. It was slowly being built over the last year, and now it's here. Great chicken, always fresh, great customer service. The fish is also excellent here, very big pieces of fish. They have the best sides, fried pickles, fried okra, corn nuggets, poppers, and fries. it's all good. I need to go up there now after making this review. I'm hungry.... lol“

“Majority of the time when people get on to complain about companies in Google reviews, it is a one off experience that they had but what they forget to mention is the remaining other 10 times that they visited and we’re happy with their food and service. I hope that people take the reviews this establishment has With a grain of salt And form their own opinions still. Yes, the team working here is on the younger side however, with that in mind, they are doing the best that they absolutely can fast food service is not easy to be in And it clearly says they are hiring if you think you can do better. Secondly, I’ve come to this establishment many times and I have on occasion had some minor issues with my order but each time I have requested that the order be corrected. They are more than happy to oblige and are very apologetic about it if you have a little patience with them they are very kind staff please remember everybody deserves a little grace. I will absolutely continue to visit this location and you should too.“

“Went through the drive thru today for lunch. They were short handed and clearly backed up. However the young lady at the window was apologetic and truly a sweet soul. For the people who are trying to hold down jobs good for you, and thank you for your great service today, I didn’t even mind the wait!“

“The employees were super nice and very helpful. The Internet ordering system and their phone system went down so I couldn't online order for pickup so I had to actually go inside. First time I've ever been inside. Looked really nice and clean inside. Haven't been in a pizza hut with a buffet in many years. Will definitely have to come back and check out that buffet.“

“Driving home to TX from Oklahoma we had the delightful experience to visit Whataburger in Gilmer TX. I was so famished, looked at the clock in the car and freaked out when it said 10:30, just knowing that when I arrived in the store that the clerk was going to tell me that they are no longer serving breakfast. In my haste, I quickly ask do you all serve breakfast all day. She said no, and before I could lose my mind, she smiled and said but we do sale breakfast until 11AM. I was so happy.

Ms. Angel was her name, and she quickly became my angel. She was so sweet, welcoming, kind, and helped me to remain calm while ordering even assisting in the ordering process, because I had been craving a cinnamon roll. But now what in the world was I going to order for meat without a side of bacon or sausage. Well, I ended up ordering the cinnamon roll which she heated (oh my goodness it was delicious) with some Whatawings…which was hot and fresh and in a nice container, along with a cup of coffee (which wasn’t exactly hot or fresh but it served it’s purpose..smiles).

During our stay while sitting in the lobby eating Ms. Angel never stopped moving, she was wiping down counters, wiping all the tables, then quickly went to get me a lid for my coffee and bag for my left-over food. I simply cannot say enough good things about her. She should get employee of the month, or spot bonus, or something to let her know that we as patrons and customers sincerely appreciate her efforts.
