Based on the reviews, Come & Take It - Bar & Grill is a regular stop for many, located in downtown Gonzales. It is a family owned and operated sports bar with a full bar, fine cuisine, and impeccable service. The food is scrumptious. The Portobello mushroom with grilled jalapeños is delicious, and the food comes out hot and fresh with crisp french fries. The medium rare 16oz rib eye steak & grilled shrimp surf n turf combo are some of the best, with sautéed veggies as an amazing side. Guests should definitely order hot honey with the chicken and not skip out on the biscuits. The signature Margherita pizza is the star of the show, and the bread basket is also enjoyed. The atmosphere is great, though the music can be loud. While one guest forgot their sunglasses and did not receive a follow-up call, another guest found the service and atmosphere excellent, recommending the place after a long motorcycle trip. Overall, it is an incredible experience and a well-deserved stopover for cold beer, tasty food, and a wonderful time.
