Best Mexican food. Great staff. The Best Hospitality in Gonzales, Texas...! Service was the Best, Atmosphere was really good., Best Menudo I ever Ate. I recommend anybody to Eat there..!
I come to Gonzales every weekend and regularly enjoy El Vaquero. The owner greets me with a broad smile, the servers are pleasant and efficient. The menu is ample and I've yet to find anything that wasn't delicious and well-presented. They also have bar service.

A really unique Mexican restaurant in Gonzales, a town with quite a few of them. They offer standard Tex Mex, a couple of American items AND some coastal and intereor Mexican dishes. A fine change of pace from the noisy less-than-good places around. Prices are low to low-moderate. They also offer family meals, tacos, enchiladas, etc. Nice place, great service and delicious.
