“Roland should teach class to other establishments owners. I'm in Detroit and have been to 4 Jamaican spots and none have come close to the excellent Jerk Chicken I've had at Roland's. Some are questionable of Caribbean heritage 'judging by the food. I've been to 3 in MN and don't compare, although Pimentos on Nicollete was acceptable. FROM ROLANDS The Jerk Chicken and OX Tails are a must.“

“I had the oxtail with white rice and a pine tart. Everything was delicious and homemade with generous portions. The owner is really nice too, and she runs the entire place by herself! Would recommend getting here early since she sells out of certain things by the end of the day.“

The food, drinks, atmosphere, and vibes are on point everytime I visit this Irie spot and it does feel like being around family because the staff is friendly and welcoming and you can really enjoy the experience of being there in the moment. “10/10 would recommend. Solo date and I must say I vibed. Very grown, I was sexy but the music was a live band and I so enjoyed every bit. Reggae vibes, the jerk gave what is was supposed to, the waitress was very pleasant. Compared to some other events I attended I admired the seating options. Other places have the chairs that require much longer legs so my feet hanging gives terrible circulation. The size of the seats do not fit grapefruits, but cater to more grapes as a bottom side. This place hero was the opposite and I will be back! I do not drink but the drinks looked great!“
