We decided to try Viet Voyage after watching a video of the owner share her family’s story and their vision of bringing many beloved Vietnamese dishes together in one place.
When we visited, the restaurant had only been open a few weeks and was understandably very busy, but every staff member we encountered was friendly, courteous, and attentive to customer needs. Based on reviews, Viet Voyage Buffet is a family-owned restaurant that offers a Vietnamese buffet with a French touch in homemade desserts and pastry. It is considered a number one buffet in the DFW area by some diners. The seasoning of the dishes is superb, and the Vietnamese food is authentic and well made. The lobsters have the quality and taste of a wedding. Although lobster may not be in season, the Louisiana style crawfish is delicious and the best. Other seafood options like scallops and bamboo steam baskets are worth a try. The cooks and employees are nice and polite. The service is great and beyond, with some servers described as friendly, attentive, and excellent. The food selections are very tasty, and the variety of Vietnamese food and drinks is not found anywhere else in DFW. Some guests plan to visit every time they are in the area and intend to keep coming back.
