Cracker Barrel Reviews
One of my Go To comfort food places while traveling as I know I will get a good meal. Have been eating at Cracker Barrel locations since 1977 and have purchased items in the store from clothing to snacks to gifts.
Ordered grandma breakfast. It comes with 3 meats (1) of each bacon, ham, sausage, 2 eggs, pancakes, a choice of grits, hash brown casserole, or baked apples. I chose hash brown casserole. The onions were not done so they were crunchy. They barely put one egg on the plates. We sent them back, which is crazy because had we not they would have just gave us 1 egg. Imagine how many people they do like that. The bacon was fried too hard. The service was great that, was the only downside.
Amazing delicious food. Great atmosphere, clean store/restaurant. Clean restrooms. Friendly service. I recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, a once-great restaurant and country store, has experienced some decline in quality since the pandemic. While the friendly staff and servers are still commendable, there have been issues with food preparation and service standards. The pancakes are still good, but the cold syrup and bacon can be disappointing. The chicken and dumplings and meatloaf on the sampler plate remain highlights of the menu. Recent reviews mention the Camp Fire menu and the beef stew, which is served in a heavy commercial-grade foil bowl, giving the experience of a meal cooked from scratch on an open fire pit—an experience that many find truly enjoyable and reminiscent of old country dinners. Some visitors say it helps them reconnect with traditional ways of cooking and reminds them of childhood meals. The restaurant offers great food options and prices that help families enjoy a good time without breaking the bank. The gift shop remains a favorite, with unique items that customers enjoy browsing. With improvements in service and food quality, this restaurant has the potential to regain its former glory.
