Hermann Sons has been a staple in our community for decades. I fully understand that the price of everything has gone thru the roof, so I am neither surprised nor disappointed that they increased their prices. However, they have taken so much off of their menu AND decreased their portion sizes along with the price increase. For instance, we ordered the Alvin steak. Would recommend but beware! My husband and I went in for lunch today, had some amazing hamburgers...wouldn't classify it as a "smash burger" but they were good! Our waitress walked past our table, dropping silverware set up on the floor (yes a napkin is rolled around most of it, not completely enclosed in the napkin...but still it fell on the floor), picked it up, tucked it under her arm pit (3 sets) & proceeds to drop something off at 1 table, removes silverware sets from under...read full review
proudly fighting to lower the standards. no evidence of a grill, pan seared flank steak passing as a $49 ribeye. because 3/8" is between 7/8" and 1 1/8" and it always helps to press it out with an iron to get it to rare within 70 minutes. second time around came out with something thinner and dryer in 16 minutes.
