BLUF: Don’t let the name change deter you. The beer is better than ever.I stopped by at the recommendation of a friend and couldn’t be more pleased. The facility is still undergoing a little cosmetic transition, but the brewing side is in full swing. This is actually no longer Astral Brewing. Today was the first day that it was under new ownership. They have an all new lineup of beers and are now known as North Shepherd Brewing. I tried their version of a West Coast IPA, West 43rd St. IPA. It was really nice. I enjoyed it.

The beer was great, however, it’s important to note that when we visited on a Saturday afternoon, the brewery was an absolute children’s playground. There were babies everywhere which is very much not our scene. It was our first time visiting, so just a heads up to anyone not looking for that atmosphere.
