Caribbean Jerk Palace offers a decent goat roti with soft, well-prepared bread. The plantain is sweet and fresh, and the lunch special is a good deal. However, the jerk chicken and rice and peas were not up to par, with some burnt pieces and undercooked rice. The beef patty and side salad were enjoyable. While the food is suitable for takeout orders, a catering experience was disappointing for one customer who spent over $1,000, receiving burnt chicken, undercooked rice, and soupy mac. The lack of resolution or compensation for the catering mishap left a negative impression, despite the customer's frequent visits to the restaurant while in Chicago.
