The food is GREAT! Prices are fair. This is a very clean place and the staff is friendly and helpful. I strongly suggest eating here!
One of the best Mexican places in Houston, and that's saying a lot. When you come to Chavez look to what Ninfa's and Molina's don't do. The chef here works magic with chicken; the Spanish rice has no equal (really!); the table salsa is a favorite among actual Tejanos; and the cream-cheese-infused flan will blow your mind. Extraordinarily good for the money.
First time visiting this restaurant. Wait staff very cordial and attentive. Daniel was our waiter and was very friendly. Nice atmosphere. TV'S all around to watch sports, if you're interested .
