Christie’s is our families favorite seafood place in Houston and hasn’t let us down. We were most recently there on the Saturday of Father’s Day weekend. We all ordered the fried shrimp with sides of fries and coleslaw. It all hit the spot. Our servers were also very attentive and responded quickly to our requests. Christie’s still stays among our favorites!

I have to admit I was a little disappointed. I appreciate places that are local favorites that have been around a while, but Christie's struck me as one of those places trying to survive on its reputation (of years ago). Our raw oysters were ok, but not very flavorful. The shrimp was decent, but the stuffed crab was very dense and doughy, and seemed to be devoid of any crab. The catfish, however, was fresh, tasty, and the breading was perfect.
