My husband and I went to Clay's today for lunch and I was thoroughly impressed. It was my first time and I ordered the chicken fried steak. It was one of the best I have had and so tender I was able to cut it very easily. We went during the lunch program and it wasn't crowded at all but the service was fantastic. Our waitress checked on us three or four times to make sure all was okay. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fantastic lunch.
The food is good but the service is crap!! You order your food and sit. Someone brings your food but you never see anyone come to your table after that. We had a party and were charged 18% service fee yet got no service. They didn’t put tables together like every other restaurant does. Then we were told we had to put our tables back. Gross and disgusting food. Horrible service and attitude once someone showed up to take the order. Chicken had no seasoning and the chicken was old because it was like eating jersey. Potatoes had no flavor and coleslaw was like eating a blade of grass. Top shelf margarita was made with very little quality ingredients. They also do not have a bartender, just a random food runner. That’s what they called her! Horrible place!
