D Ls Cajun Kitchen is a must-visit spot in Hempstead. Their turkey wings with brown gravy, sweet potatoes, rice, and macaroni and cheese are a hit. The portions are generous, and the older lady serving ensures everything is well-seasoned. The only downside is her lack of cheerfulness. Despite some delivery mishaps, the turkey wings remain tender and delicious. The gravy and cornbread are top-notch. The oxtails plate with dressing, greens, Mac and cheese is flavorful, but the candied yams could be sweeter. A return visit is on the cards for sure.
