El Gallo Reviews
First went to The Original El Gallo on Jones Rd around 1984. It was a frequent place to get Tex Mex for my good friend Mike Logan & his family. Have loved going there ever since. The best thing is it tastes as good today as it did the first time. Only complaint is we don’t live close enough to go as often.
Great food great service awesome family spot.

El Gallo is a family-friendly restaurant that serves great Mexican food with quick and excellent service. Customers consistently praise dishes like the fajita and avocado burrito covered with queso sauce, noting that the food is flavorful and satisfying. The queso and grilled chicken are highly recommended, and many visitors have been coming for years, appreciating the consistent quality and familiar staff. The fajitas are a favorite, often described as better than homemade, with sizzling hot meat, fresh tortillas, and all the fixings. The steak is also well-prepared, though chicken remains the preferred choice for some. The restaurant offers generous portions, enough to feed a family of four, and the prices are considered reasonable. The service is fast, with some customers receiving their food in as little as 10 to 20 minutes, and staff members are friendly and treat guests like family. The ambiance is family-friendly, and despite its tucked-away location, El Gallo is known for its delicious food and reliable service, making it a highly recommended spot for a nice dinner. The Margheritas are also a highlight, packing a punch and adding to the enjoyable experience. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere, especially on busy Friday evenings, and the family-owned vibe makes it feel welcoming. Customers also appreciate how quick the staff is to bring out food, often having chips and salsa ready when they sit down, and many remember coming here years ago, especially for their enchiladas with American cheese.
