This was the 2nd year in a row that we used Mandola's Catering. Everything was perfect! They made me look good! The catering Menu had lots of great choices and Robert made things very smooth. The food and dessert were absolutley delicious! We werent sure if we were going to be able to have a catered lunch for Christmas with Covid but we made it work and the setup was perfect. I was the organizer of the North American Saliva Symposium held at U Texas last Friday and Saturday, catered by Frankie B Mandola. In my opinion this was the best food I have experienced at a conference in my many years of going to conferences. A number of my delegates also remarked that they thought the food was outstanding. i have never in my life wrote a review on service received, but this opinion has to be voiced. i called to put in a corporate order for our banks' grand opening, and when i gave the young lady my name she abruptly cut me off and informed me that she would not be taking my request and that i can be reffed to another catering service. i declined the referral offer and proceeded to search for other caterers. a fellow colleague thought that was strange and called back immediately and the young lady proceeded to take her "order", moments after i was told they were not available to take mine.. so by this time the entire office is searching how to get a hold of management to figure out what the requirements for service are. when prompted with the question oh why my service was refused, she stated that i was soliciting and never stated that i wanted to actually place a order. not only did she lie to attempt to cover her tracks (state that i never asked to place an order), she then accused of soliciting ( if that was the case, why reefer me to another catering company??) she could have come clean about the mistake but to lie when you know "all call are monitored and recorded for quality assurance" was just too much for me. then that prompted me to think "is this racially motivated". i hate going down that path by my logic is telling me that might have something to do with it, but thats the country we live in..im sure the food is just as amazing as everyone says but they will never receive a penny of mine, or my companies. i hope management can understand that a 20sec conversation can cost you 20k in sales..
