My husband and I went to Gumbo Mama for the first time today. The food was absolutely delicious. The Gumbo was better than any I have ever had at a restaurant. The Shrimp Po’boy was amazingly delicious. The shrimp were large, the tartar sauce was creamy with a hint of sweetness. The bread which can make or break a Po’boy was the perfect compliment to a perfect sandwich. Also, the Socket-it-to-me cake was melt in your mouth moist. OMG! First I have to tell you about Tina, so friendly and personable, we talked 10 mins before I ordered my food. I ordered fish and shrimp for myself and Mama gumbo pasta for my husband, both were so good I forgot to take pictures when I got home , I was hungry Lol!! I will be returning real soon for the gumbo and hamburger.

Called in a order for lunch and was meet with a friendly loving voice. Gumbo mama herself took my order and she was so helpful and customer service was excellent. Now, I order the medium Gumbo and a piece of fried fish. The fried fish didn't even make it back to work. Crispy on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside. Baby that GUMBO was soooooo good.
