Walked in at 838pm tonight after looking up the closing time on Google before driving over. Said 9pm, but the worker at the cash register stopped me as I walked in saying the cash register and kitchen were closed for the night. Checked the door after walking back out and yep, it said 9pm, too. Steve and I are always on the hunt for good food that has a taste of home. What we found is Aloha Hawaiian BBQ Express off FM1960/Hwy 6.
We were not disappointed. We each had the mix plate. Teri Beef, Teri Chicken, Kalbi (for Steve) and Chicken Katsu (for me)
Couldnt pass up the Musubi The salad tasted like Zippy’s (and that’s a compliment). Highly recommend.
What an awesome little spot. I had no idea this place was here and so reasonable. The service was excellent right out the gate. Very friendly and made great recommendations. I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ Mix and it was amazing. The beef was tender and the chicken was juicy. All very good flavors. The Spam Musubi was new to me and I was impressed with how good it was. Definitely a new customer here and will venture back again soon.
