Food looks good, and although some guests did not eat, the food served is flavorful and generous; for example, the 2 fish and 6 shrimp with hush puppies and fries is highly recommended. Drinks are good and reasonably priced, but the drinks can be a little pricey. The DJ and music add to the lively atmosphere, making Henke & Pillot a great spot for lovers of spoken word and good times. Visitors often enjoy the vibe, the talent of the poets, and the overall experience, with plans to return. However, cleanliness at the tables and on bar stools could be improved, especially since they are only open on Sundays.
