I am a new regular visitor of Houston since my boyfriend moved here a few weeks ago and decided to order a random veggie sandwich and soup… the veggie Sammie and posole from local foods is probably the best veggie sandwich I have ever had!!! The posole was A+++++ and I am from El Paso Texas, where grew up on posole and have some of the best Mexican food you’ll ever eat. The sandwich was so flavorful and fresh, I added tofu and vegan aioli and could not believe how delicious...
My wife and I were downtown looking for some good eats when we came across Local Food Market. The menu had plenty of healthy food options which made ordering a tad difficult. After deciding, we found seats on the cover patio by some fans. The food was delicious to say the least. I think we found a gem downtown .
We really like the food. We've tried the crispy chicken sandwich and the banh mi. Everything has been fresh and tasty. They have bottled wines, beer and sparkling wine/champagne. We typically get either the tea or lemonade (very good). It's usually a quiet place to enjoy your time away from home. Would definitely recommend it.
