Only complaint about the food I have is the gravy was basically empty and the mashed potatoes smell a bit sour/old.
Chicken and rice is great though

I really use to love this location. Idk if yall have a new cook or if yall sold me old food but the mashed potatoes tasted spoiled! It had a really bad sour taste to it. The dirty rice wasn’t cooked all the way. The chicken didn’t even taste the same. Totally disappointed in the service I received yesterday. Even when I told the guy that it tasted old and spoiled. He didn’t show any concern. Even the fries were undercooked. Please get someone back in the kitchen that knows what they are doing! I wasted $27

Tried the new Bases Burgers Fries & Drink inside Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken & Seafood—today was their first day offering burgers, and they’re off to a great start!

If you’re into simple, no-frills, well-seasoned burgers, this is the spot. I had the Home Run combo (single cheeseburger, fries, and Barq’s Root Beer), and my partner had the Double Play with cheese (double cheeseburger, fries, and lemonade). Both were delicious, and the fries were hot and crispy.

We joked that a “Home Run” should’ve been four patties, but honestly, one patty was plenty satisfying. Great flavor, great value.

What’s even better is now we don’t have to choose between fried chicken and burgers—this place has both! The manager even checked on us personally and thanked us for visiting, which was a nice touch.

Highly recommend giving them a try!

It was bad. The fried fish was refried and was still cold when I got it. The beans where not cooked all the was in the red beans and rice and the bun was tough. Some times you get the much needed sauce...it's 50/50. Then checked the reviews to see if I was the only one who had the same thing happen and noticed the owner copy and pastes his rebuttal. A year ago the review would have been great, but sadly the restraunt has gone down hill.

I wouldn’t feed it to my dogs! Horrible customer service and the food was trash. I paid 12 dollars just to throw it in the trash! Worst chicken in houston and the sides are even worse!

“Before visiting, be aware of some major concerns at this location. The food quality is inconsistent—fries and fish often lack seasoning. More seriously, a customer reported finding a roach in their rice, raising health and safety concerns. Side dishes, like the coleslaw, are overly sweet and heavy on mayo. While some may have good experiences, these issues are worth considering. Hopefully, management makes improvements.”

On 1/18/25 at 6 pm I came there and the new guy tried to over charge me for a #1 2 piece chicken dinner and was arguing with me until I just said forget it and paid the price I was offended and disgusted after he stuck his head over the chicken with spit flying out of his mouth to talk to the cook . I will never eat at this place again ! The customer service is horrible and no one wears gloves when handling your food . Please go somewhere else

This was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. To make matters worse, the chicken tasted hours old and was very greasy. The fries were also unappetizing.

This is the worst location I have ever eaten from. To make it even worse, the door dash driver was 2hrs late. The chicken tasted hours old and very greasy. The fries weren't even good. I normally go to the West Belfort location, but they were closed yesterday. When I get food from the Belfort location, I eat it the next day and it is still good. This is exactly where this food should be. In the TRASH! ALMOST $40 WORTH OF FOOD IN THE TRASH!

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this place. Despite calling 25 minutes ahead to have my meal prepared, I was met with rudeness and poor service. The person who took my call rudely informed me that I should have called only 5 minutes before arriving. Despite this, my food was not ready when I arrived.

To make matters worse, the meal I ordered, the manager's special, had a bitter taste and was not enjoyable. Additionally, when I requested a cold Coke, the staff member refused to change it, stating that the weather was hot outside so it didn't need to be cold. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of basic customer service is unacceptable.

Overall, my experience was very negative. The combination of poor customer service and subpar food quality means I will not be returning to this restaurant . I hope the management takes these issues seriously and works to improve their service and food.
