It is now j j fish and chicken. A company based out of Chicago. I go to the store when I'm in Chicago. But now he has three locations in Houston. The one on hwy 6 is the one I went to and was not disappointed. Lot of fresh food for a low price. Then the hospitality is out of this world. The owner was in the store today. He is an awesome guy.
We went for dinner and ordered a Louisiana sampler, a 2pc combo, and a reg size Gumbo. They almost forgot my mom's drink, and the item I thought was my Gumbo was part of my mom's food, so I had to go there the next day to have them make my Gumbo. The Gumbo, doesn't taste like Louisiana gumbo, and I feel like if that's the name you're going to have on the business, the food def doesn't taste like food from Louisiana.
I have been here at least a dozen times and the food is always freshly fried! SO SO DELICIOUS. I usually order a 10pc chicken meal with hush puppies and dirty rice as well as a 10pc fish. Me and my family love having leftovers!
