While in the museum district, my wife and I decided to have dinner at Lucille’s Restaurant. This was by far the best dining experience I have had in years. It started with our server, MeMe. She came by introduced herself and took our drink order. Throughout the meal she would come to our table to give a status of our appetizers, main course, and dessert orders. The appetizers of Crab Cakes and Fried Green Tomatoes. Crab Cakes topped with black-eyed pea salsa and a green Hollandaise...
My first restaurant in Houston and our food was delicious! Our server Mimi was just as great, she continuously checked on us, she was sweet and very attentive. Would definitely come back again!
Service is slow but not horrible. I came for the brisket omelette, there was only about 2 tablespoons of gravy. Not much flavor. I was expecting to be wowed by the food and I just didn’t get that. The patio area was decent except for the constant barking dogs. Can’t say I would return.
