Have been there multiple times now. Usually have pizza (absolutely excellent!) but this time tried a pasta and was great. Had a large party of family members and everyone said their food was excellent.

Amazing food! Had an Amarone by the glass which was incredible. Lobster and crab ravioli was to die for. Tiramisu was the best in town.

This beautiful restaurant was prefect for the parents, grandparents, and 16-month old to enjoy delicious Italian food for a special occasion. The octopus appetizer was to die for. The broccoli rabbe and leek and pancetta pizzas, seafood pasta, and chicken cacciatore were great. The ambiance and friendly chef made the night special. Not too expensive, not cheap. This place is a gem. My family will return!

I've been wanting to try Magdalena's for a while and glad to finally do so with my family to celebrate my dad's birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there with great food and service and just right servings. I like that they kept the grated cheese and chili flakes in separate containers to add to our dishes to our liking. I'm surprised that fresh cracked pepper was not offered, though. And we were able to order fritto misto off the menu but watch out for the fried jalapeno. I will be back, I'm sure...good to have a nice neighborhood trattoria to visit.

I moved to Houston for my Ph.D. about two months ago and Magdalena's has been the place where I go when I'm a little overwhelmed and just need nice atmosphere and good company. The service is angelically kind, the atmosphere relaxing, and the attention minute. There is always some special touch they've given me during my visits, and I hope to keep going until my time in Houston is done. If there's anything I miss about this city when I leave, it will be Magdalena's.
