The food here is TOP notch! The outside doesn't look like much and the ambiance inside is cute, modern and fresh. I have traveled the world and had Michelin star chefs and the food rivals that. We go to Mexico often and the food is thoughtful, nothing is overpowered by spices and everything comes together with perfectly cooked food and such a beautiful traditional and modern flair. Tonight was an anniversary dinner for my wife and I. It was our first time trying out this restaurant and we absolutely loved it. Definitely a cozy atmosphere, not loud, and really quaint. I personally got the tacos al carbon, and I see why they have them rated like they do. 5 stars doesn’t begin to describe the flavor of this meal. I decided come by and try Mi Tierra as it is around the corner from my office in the up and coming Oak Forest neighborhood. When you first walk in you are greeted by very friendly staff. There were a few other tables enjoying their meals already, but was able to be sat with my party right away. We ordered the "award winning" tacos al pastor as well as the mahi mahi fish taco's.
