Nguyen Ngo French Sandwich is a well-known Vietnamese sandwich store in the Houston, TX area. Sometimes, I stop by the store and buy some sandwiches. I like their croissant BBQ chicken and grilled pork sandwiches. Their Vietnamese sandwiches are absolutely delicious. The cashier is always friendly to the customers. Most customers order the sandwiches to go. There are a few dining tables for people to sit down and enjoy their sandwiches, but many customers just order to go. The store's atmosphere is not cozy.

Unfortunately, this establishment only accepts cash but there were no signs indicating that. It would’ve been helpful to know beforehand. When the cashier realized I didn’t have cash, she became very rude and unpleasant to deal with

The quality is horrible compared to the past few years. Asked for only carrot as veggie and they gave me like a few pieces
Expensive compare to other places like Don Cafe, Thim Hung, etc.. If you want to waste your time and money, here is the place

Really good Banh Mi. The chicken was very good; however, the traditional combo sealed the deal for me. Cash only so don’t be caught off guard. I will be back soon.

The audacity of yelling over the phone telling client doesnt know how to order. tell me to drive to the store so she can teach me that. well im the 1st time client and have no idea what you are selling in the banh mi. instead of calmly explaining, she chose to argue and act like I was the problem. Guess what she still got my orders wrong after she “taught” me. I asked for veggies to be separated all my orders have veggies in there.
I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s the owner—only someone who owns the place would feel entitled enough to treat customers like garbage and think it’s okay. heard my viet co-workers get their food here but wont return.

Need to recruit young order staff. Because I called earlier and ordered 7 separate rolls of vegetables and pickles, but when I got there, I told her she was wrong, but she assured me that I didn't tell her. and she gave me another bag of vegetables and pickles but her attitude was not happy when giving it and she did not apologize for making the wrong order. Oh my god that's so bad!!!!!!!!!!!

This place use to be the place to get banh mis but it’s now well below average. I don’t get what all the hype is with all these 5-stars, lol.
If you didn’t know, their banh mi ga jambon use to have tomatoes in it! Now you’re lucky if you get any pickled carrots or radishes.
Their prices have gone up over the years. I get inflation. However, one would expect the quality and quantity to remain the same but they put less meat and veggies. What a shame.
