I went to the Wirt Rd location. First there was barely any guest there so that was my first sign. The crawfish were very bland and the boils were very salty. Unfortunately I was not impressed.
The menu has always been one of my favorites here in Houston. The new location on Wirt is dynamite, well designed, great atmosphere, and very happy for the staff.
Highly recommended!!!

Ragin' Cajun provides an authentic Cajun dining experience with exceptional dishes. The crawfish are a standout, featuring large specimens cooked to perfection, and they did not skimp on the crawfish tails. The crawdad bucket is a highlight, with generous portions and a delightful sauce. Other popular dishes include shrimp and grits, seafood gumbo which has a little bit of a kick, and giant gulf oysters that are fresh. The Shrimp Po Boys are also delicious. Guests have noted that the beignets are a perfect ending to the meal. The service is often cheerful, attentive, and exemplary, with staff members known for being extremely friendly and quick. The atmosphere is welcoming. It is a good spot for Happy Hour with good prices, cold beer, and good Ragin' rita's. Try the Happy Hour bites like the fried quail legs and grilled oysters. The blackened catfish with roasted brussels sprouts and dirty rice was also awesome. Overall, a visit to Ragin' Cajun promises a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience.
