I was pleasantly surprised by Som Boon - it's a contender for my favorite Thai restaurant in Houston! The pad thai woon sen in the specials menu is incredible - really creative and delicious. Highly recommended.

I don’t really ever write reviews, but we loved this restaurant. We brought our kids. The food was amazing. Best Pad See Ew I’ve ever had, they used thick fresh wide rice noodles with the perfect char. I love Thai food and have tried countless Thai restaurants in Houston and this is my favorite! Family friendly, delicious food, and great appretizers as well. We will definitely be back.

My go to Thai restaurant in the loop! The medium+ spice levels are actually spicy. I love how chewy and flavorful the drunken noodles are. The green curry is also a go-to for us. A very reasonably priced menu for the high quality dishes— doesn’t pretend to be fancy, and it’s not priced crazy like other places!

We’ve been meaning to try this place for a while, but we wanted to let the initial hype settle down first. A few months later, we finally gave it a shot with a takeout order we were not disappointed!

When I walked in to pick up my food, there was a noticeable buzz with a few people waiting outside, which is always a good sign especially considering how many Thai restaurants are nearby. For our first try, we went with the Pad Kee Mao and Pad Thai with mild spiciness.

Let me tell you, the flavors were spot on. The pad kee mao was loaded with depth and flavor, and every bite had me going back for more. The spiciness was a pleasant surprise. We requested mild, but it still packed a punch - enough heat to make it interesting without being overwhelming. Honestly, I can’t imagine what their “Thai spicy” level must be like but I don’t think I'm built for that!

Overall, I think this place has quickly earned a spot as our favorite Thai restaurant in the area. The food is full of flavor, and there’s definitely a lot of potential for future visits. Next time, we’ll be dining in for the full experience!

Very good Thai food. Be careful about the heating rating cuz medium was pretty hot. I can take hot food to but this was pretty warm

We had dinner for two at a new Thai restaurant and ordered Pad See Ew, Basil Pork, and Mango Sticky Rice, all at a medium spice level, which was perfect for our palate. The Pad See Ew was the standout dish of the night, featuring chewy flat noodles and authentic Thai flavors. The Basil Chicken paired well with white rice, though it was slightly dry; next time, we’ll try the pork version, which might be juicier. I also wished for a bit more garlic and fish sauce to enhance the depth of flavor. The Mango Sticky Rice was a delightful way to end the meal. Excellent service and a convenient location. We’ll definitely be back to explore more dishes!
