Kinda torn on this one. Seems like the place is under new ownership these days. They have tried to make it more upscale and the prices reflect it but to be honest the food isn’t that great. The place still looks like a dive bar and tastes like a dive bar but tries to make the food more Instagram worthy with 50% more markup. Would just pass and spend my money elsewhere, you’ll get better value from yardhouse.

This Basil Martini goes down so smooth. It's great and the 🍸 bartender made it custom. Who knew that crushed basil would be so delightful 😊 in a cocktail!!

I'm glad we still have good Pubs in Houston and they give good food and service. I hope we can see new food and drink items.
IMO waiters deserve a bump up in pay

We had gone to another local establishment to eat corn beef and cabbage for St. Patrick’s Day. We left completely dissatisfied. We decided to try B&B. We hadn’t been to B&B for several years. What a pleasant surprise and an excellent experience. Aaron, the manager,, met us as we entered. He was very enthusiastic in helping us get a table and making sure we were seated. Our waitresses and all of the staff We interacted with were terrific and helpful. The food was great the whole experience was fun. Just want to make sure that this message is very positive and the food was REALLY great!

Came for lunch with friends for St. Paddy's. Disappointed they did not have full menu. Fish and Chips were ordered...fish was good but fries were not. Waitress was somewhat attentive but we had to keep repeating what we needed...slow.

Stopped in for the first time Saturday night and wasn’t sure what to expect. We went in and sat initially on the side where several people were playing backgammon since there was also a basketball game to watch on tv and waited for service. After about 10 minutes we had not seen anyone approach our table we headed over to the other side and had to wait for service but did finally get someone from the waitstaff to notice us and bring a menu and take drink orders. They seemed to be understaffed which is a problem for a lot of restaurants these days. But once we ordered drinks and had a chance to order our meals, we were good.
We ordered fried cheese curds for our appetizer and they were excellent. The beer selection was great, but my first choice beer the Old Speckled Hen had been taken out temporarily to add an extra line for Guinness with St. Patrick’s Day coming up. No worries, the Guinness was properly poured and top notch.
Of the 3 things we ordered, fish and chips, shepherds pie and a burger, each of them was on the money and would recommend. Food was excellent.
The server said the restaurant was under new management and there is always going to be an adjustment period when that happens. But service was friendly and as they get that squared away, this is a very solid option worth checking out. And they get the main things you want a restaurant and pub to have, quality food and reasonable prices. Definitely will be back.

We came in for a late lunch on Sunday.
Steven took good care of us.
My cocktail was good and my husband’s Guinness was perfectly drawn.
The new lamb shank was delicious, rich succulent and very tender.
The new shepherds pie was also delicious, filled with chunks of lamb and vegetables.
Both meals were served with a small pitcher of gravy.
I had eaten here years ago and remember the food being ok, but this was a much better experience.
We will definitely return soon and recommend enjoying a meal here.

They've updated the food and cocktails and i can see this neighborhood spot quickly becoming something of a destination. The lamb shank is fall off the bone, the croquettes with chunky bacon and sharp cheddar are popbable and addictive. But the show-stopper is the Shepherds pie. Mashed potato stuffed with rich and hearty stew rolled in breadcrumbs and deep fried 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
Its schtupid good
