I love a good empanada and have a spot down near Westchase that I like. Hoping to find it closer to where I am now, I checked out the Empanada Company. I had read other reviews and had decided on the beef pastry before arriving, but I went at breakfast time and saw that the Empanada Brava is a mix of all their breakfast offerings, so I got both. $3.89 and $2.29, respectively. Small little strip center restaurant with limited seating but it wasn't busy on a Thursday lunch hour. It's easy to order since they have everything already made in warmers. Pictures and explanations on the menu. They are mostly empanadas but they have a handful of miscellaneous like tortas, hot dogs. I had the mole, picadillo(beef with papa) and the egg with ham. I stopped here at almost closing time on Saturday to bick up a few empanadas for a BBQ i was going to. I did not rrealize that they closed at 4:00. All was good because I was able to buy the last of several choices that I wanted. The quality and freshness were great. I was very pleased with my order and will consider returning again.
