We came to honey drizzle to support our ppl and let me tell you .... first we was told 30 mins and it turned into over an hour wait ... got in took 20 mins for drink selection and order ...30+ mins roll around and still no drinks ... after and hour soft drinks come out and a "frozen" drink (full of foam at the top)..... so we ordered food after that hour wait ... time rolling just rolling on by and finally we just told her cancel the order . This has been the worst experience of my life! We had reservations at 12:30 and here it is 2:15pm and we still don’t have food! The air isn’t cooling very well! I hadn’t seen a manager only the waiter!! If you are hungry don’t come here because you will starve to death! This is ridiculous on another level!!!
Upon stumbling upon this recommendation on my Facebook feed, I swiftly made a reservation, thinking it would be perfect for our monthly get-together with my sisters and cousin. However, my expectations were dashed upon experiencing the reality. The Honey Drizzle Houston is a Southern cuisine restaurant located downtown, close to the Chevron building. The vibes are good with good music, and it is considered a cute place. The customer service is superb, friendly, and always above expectation. The staff is professional with amazing personalities.
The food is flavorful, delicious, insanely good, and overall great, though it can have its days where it could use a little improvement. Specific items highlighted include the very delicious and juicy chicken, the amazing San Jacinto omelette, the drizzle sampler, and the waffle flight with hot honey and garlic honey. The fried cabbage side is also noted. The drinks are spectacular, perfect, and flowing, with the mimosa flight being good though sometimes too sweet.
The experience is absolutely amazing and worth popping in for brunch or lunch. It is recommended for both locals and visitors. A note is made that an 18% tip is sometimes automatically included.
