Delicious food at Trattoria Sofia but we were disappointed by slow service at the bar while we waited for our table, which continued while we sat down. It was a Saturday night and things were very busy and no doubt difficult to manage, but logistically the restaurant was sort of a mess. We were seated almost 15 minutes after our reservation time. Our server was very kind and knowledgeable, but we waited awhile for everything and it just seemed like the restaurant was understaffed...
Will definitely eat there again food/service/ambiance was great! The only thing that was VERY misleading, it advertised that the patio was climate controlled. Only suggestion is to eat indoors during very hot/humid season.
The ambience, service, and creativity of dishes were excellent. We particularly enjoyed the appetizers - octopus, burrata, and beets. The entrees were a little disappointing. We didn't think the branzino was worth the cost..we've eaten similarly good ones elsewhere for half the price, and while they were generous with the mussels, the squid ink pasta it came with wasn't memorable.
