Abuelo's Mexican Restaurant Reviews
The food was excellent upon my eating at Abuelo's yesterday. The plate was hot and the Chili Relleno keeps me coming back to this restaurant. The server who waited on my table was name Monica! She was an exceptional server who described the plates on the menu and did with a smile. I want to shout out to Monica!
I’ve been eating here for years and go every time I’m in town
This food had no flavor, the beans tasted as if they were canned and the vegetables you can tell were frozen because of the way the carrots bounced back. The only good thing where the chips. The salsa not the best. It just doesn’t taste fresh queso also tasted like manufactured cheese with fresh chopped vegetables. What a let down.

Abuelo's Mexican Restaurant is a longtime favorite spot known for its delicious dishes like chicken quesadillas, enchiladas, and mixed fajitas. Many customers enjoy the Pork Tenderloin Abrigada and appreciate the generous portions of the Grande plate. The hot sauces are popular, and the staff is friendly and accommodating, with some servers providing excellent service. The papas, enchilada, and chili relleno lunch dish offer a satisfying and shareable meal, while the vegetarian enchiladas are a great option for those who prefer meat-free choices. Guests also love the yummy guacamole and chips with queso, which are fresh and often enough to fill you up. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with attentive waitstaff. The food is consistently served hot and flavorful, and the bartenders make great margaritas, including the popular el jeffe margarita. Abuelo’s is kid-friendly, and there is plenty of room for wheelchair accessibility. Although it can be loud at times, many visitors return for the good food and friendly service. Customers often mention that the chips and salsa are fresh, and the large portions include sides like guacamole and sour cream. The service is quick, and servers like Monica describe menu items with a smile, making the experience enjoyable. The chili relleno remains a favorite dish, and even when trying something different like a quesadilla with cheese on the outside, it is still tasty. Overall, Abuelo's continues to be a popular spot for satisfying Mexican food and friendly staff.
