6 Best Southern Restaurants near Hutto

“Visiting from Colorado and my dad took me here during my stay. Nice little place, very busy when we showed up! Was told about a 30-40 minute wait, but it only took about 15ish minutes, which was great.Being from Colorado it's pretty common these days to find veggie burgers on a menu (which is what I prefer) and this was kind of the last place I would have expected to see one on a menu in Texas, haha. But there it was.. I got that and the sweet potato fries. Both were excellent!We also got the friend Jalapeños and Fried Green Tomatoes, both of which I have never had, and they were delicious!Didn't save room for pie, and I know this place is well known for it. But the food was great, so I'll definitely be back on my next visit, and I'll be trying that pie too!Vegetarian options: There is a veggie burger as well as a handful of food items that contain no meat.“

“This was my second time at the restaurant had bourbon pork chops yams and greens that were amazing and you couldn't have asked the staff to be more welcoming attentive and appreciative there's such a good vibe at this place on top of great food I'm going to eat my way through the whole menu I'm glad“

“I had the chicken nachos and they did customize them for me which I appreciated. The food was ok, nothing special. We ordered Key Lime Pie for dessert which was "just ok" as well.The wait staff were very friendly, the service was a little slow especially since it wasn't very busy that night.I wanted to sit outside but they said it was closed. I didn't know if it was closed just for the night or forever ?‍♀️ Not sure if I'd go back but I'm not from here so if you're local, you might enjoy it. I'll try other places before thinking about returning here. But, overall it was nice.“

“The server was the best we've ever had and she was slammed for Valentine's Day but she never missed a beat. She was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant had reservations available on Valentine's Day and we are so thankful we decided to go! The noise level was perfectly fine as we were seated in their private dining area. Our food was just amazing. The menu is pretty extensive and requires some attention to know what to order versus what you typically order at an ordinary Mexican restaurant. If you go hungry...I highly encourage you to get the meatloaf. It's an excellent dish!“

“Met a business associate here for lunch on a Wednesday. Good crowd. Even better food! Best catfish and shrimp I've had in a while. Fries were on point as well. Friendly folks running the place too! Next time I'll have to try one of the sandwiches. That means I'll be back!!“
