Southside Market & Barbeque - Hutto

Couple of times that we have been there for dinner they seem to run out of certain foods.
1st time Sausage
2 time certain desserts
3rd ribs, our favorite!

Southside Market & BBQ offers an exceptional culinary experience, featuring some of the finest barbecue, pulled pork, sausage, and smoked turkey I have ever encountered. The ambiance evokes a comfortable, home-like dining environment. Furthermore, the staff consistently demonstrates politeness, expertise, and a generous approach to serving their meat selections.

I got the sliced barbecue sandwich. It was good but on the dry side. I had their original barbecue sauce on the side. It's very good! The meat is pricey but all barbecue is expensive now, no matter where you go. We hardly go out to eat and noticed a big jump in prices. It's big and roomy inside and has a nice atmosphere. Of course they were playing good, old country music.

I come here frequently and the staff and food are wonderful if you’re looking for some great barbecue and you’re near Hutto swing on by. You won’t be disappointed and you can take some steaks home and they have ice cream as well hot dang!

I go for the sausage! Been going to Southside for the last 20+years. It's a must stop when in the area but be prepared for the $$! 2lbs of sausage and 1 lb of brisket is $80 😬

Special shout out to the cook in the back, Roman! He did amazing on smoking the meat. Couldn’t have asked for a better meal on a Sunday Afternoon. 🎉🙏

We were in town for softball and stopped by for a quick bite. We had a turkey sandwich and the husband had the brisket. Everything was delicious. The counter workers were very courteous and willing to let you sample things. My husband struck up a conversation with Jenna who was keeping the dining area looking clean and kept. She was very friendly and they had a great conversation about their hearing devices they both used. We will be back when we come back in town. Oh side note, Mac & cheese is the best!

Well, we came all the way from the Fort Hood area to get barbecue. I ordered chicken but they didn't add it to my plate, so I never got charged for it. I got charged for turkey instead. I got charged for two fountain drinks, but only asked for one drink. Then I asked for a peach cobbler, but didn't get that either. Lesson learned......check the bag AND the receipt. 😒

Southside is my favorite bbq place! The Pork Belly options available on Fridays is addicting! Everything is delicious - but treat yourself to a pork belly baked potato on a Friday and you’ll be hooked

- First time visitor
- I liked the sausage. It was soft and tasty.
- I liked the mac and cheese. The potato salad was not that great. The green beans were tolerable.
- Portions were larger and I had plenty of leftovers.
- In the end, this won't become my #1 bbq spot, but the food was decent. I would visit again and try the chopped beef sandwich.
- There is a market inside the restaurant. There is also a drive thru.
- I was pleased to find that the sausage is sold in local TX grocery stores because I don't live near this restaurant. I would buy the sausage again.
- Service was fast.

Do not like the new menu. It’s a guess at how much a plate will cost. No clear pricing. Expensive for amount of food.
