The mashed potaoes and buscuits were too salty. I would purchase the chicken from them again, but not the potatoes and biscuits.”

“My family and I have went many times. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All of the food has always been delicious despite me being a brat for only wanting good food. The staff is great and the women are caring especially with the littles. Food never takes too long and always meets or exceeds expectations. Always clean and the restrooms are never nasty. Highly recommend!”

“They are the best tamales in town. I was just there earlier today and the young woman behind the counter is always so friendly. The salsa is delicious and they usually have fresh baked pan de polvo on the counter enticing you to balance the savory tamales with something yummy and sweet. My cat also enjoys the little bits of tamales I share with her, and she is a very finicky eater. “The Brass Turtle is a hidden diamond in Ingleside! Is it a lodge or an AirBnb? It appears to be available both ways - by their own website or the AirBnB site - any way you slice it, its an amazing value and a great find. You get a fully self sufficient room with its own bathroom, TV and mini fridge - and a shared area with a full kitchen and living area. The shared area includes big comfortable lodge style couches with a view of the bay and a full kitchen. I sat outside with my morning coffee watching the ships enter the bay. Staying here while working nearby, there is nowhere closer to work for Ingleside Bay. I met several guys who stayed here while fishing - it couldn't be more convenient or friendly for fishermen either. They have several types of rooms - good for couples, singles or families. I stayed in the Captain's Quarters - a big room with a king size bed, working area, and giant bathtub, this was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. Lani, the host, is easy to contact, she is not overbearing - you feel like you have the place to your self - she is available if you need anything at all and she will solve any issue that arises. The Brass Turtle is far and away better than any other place I have stayed in the Ingleside / Corpus Christi area.”

“The servings are huge and the food was great! Quick service, but a little bit of a language barrier. One of the people in our party had a question and he tried to just ask an employee who did not understand, but rather than get our waitress, she just went about her business. Not a huge deal, but kept the service from getting 5 stars.”

“My family and I have been in town this week helping move my in-laws across state, and as you can imagine… emotions were high and caffeine was very necessary. We stopped by this Starbucks a lot — even on Thanksgiving — and every single time the team here treated us with genuine kindness and pride in what they do.

They go above and beyond with great service, great drinks, and the kind of smiles that make a stressful day feel a little lighter. In a week that’s been all boxes, bubble wrap, and chaos, they’ve been a little bright spot we truly appreciated.

“One of the best places for breakfast tacos! First time, there was a line,waning something good is coming out of this place. We ordered 5 tacos and boy were these huge. 1 taco was enough for each of us. If you’re in the area, this is a must stop. Food was great service was quick. A+++”
