“I am a Puerto Rican who grew up in Miami so I did not have a ton of exposure to certain foods growing up, specifically pupusas. My husband bought us some pupusas revueltas with curtido and the red sauce and it was the best pupusa I have EVER had… The curtido was perfect, the salsa was perfect, the pupusa was just right and not greasy. I am still savoring it. Highly recommend!!“

“I went with a group of Mexican friends in Jersey Village and we were fascinated, I ate some delicious traditional chilaquiles, everything is delicious, great variety of food, drinks and desserts, it is ideal to go in groups, with friends or family, or with your couple, all the employees are very friendly, bilingual and helpful, nice and beautifully decorated facilities, I will definitely return with my family and my husband. “Not our normal go to for Mexican food, but I like to try different places. My wife got a new job, so while the kids were at school, we had a little celebration lunch. Service was a little slow for only a few others in there, I had to flag our waitress to order and again to get our check, but overall not bad, food came out really fast. My wife had cheese enchilada with rice and beans. I had the (3) tacos lunch with two hard and one soft taco. Chips and dip were pretty good, red salsa would be better if it was warm. Both are meals were very good, fresh and delicious and we had a small take-out left over. Located less than a 1/2 mile off I-290 beside the Krogers, pretty easy access for travelers.“

“We recently visited the newly opened Carmelita’s Kitchen in Cypress, and it quickly became a favorite! From the moment we stepped onto the cozy patio, we loved the inviting and charming atmosphere. Inside, the décor is well thought out, creating a warm and welcoming vibe.

Our server, Ana, was incredibly attentive and polite throughout the meal. We started with coffee and a delicious tray of shrimp taquitos — a perfect appetizer. The brunch menu is impressive, and we decided to try the chilaquiles and Baja tacos. Both dishes were beautifully presented and absolutely flavorful. Each bite was a treat — well-prepared without being overdone.

For those who enjoy spicy flavors, their salsas pack a great kick! We can’t wait to return and try more dishes and the cocktails. We highly recommend our Cypress neighbors to check out this little gem — it’s definitely worth a visit!“

“Our family has been going to Mario’s for years now for his tasty tacos, exceptional homemade salsas, and delicious hamburgers. I’ve never eaten anything here that wasn’t absolutely delish. To top it all off, Mario, his wife, and the staff take the time to know their regular customers. They know our order without even telling them and they know our entire family by name.
