The food was delicious! The server was amazing! We were absolutely pleased with our entire experience!
One of the best chicken fried steaks I have had. The green beans were perfectly cooked. The sirloin steak was perfectly cooked to medium. Service was superb (thanks, Kaeden). We were just looking for a place to grab dinner on our way to San Antonio. Turns out we made an excellent choice! Highly recommend!!
Always good food and very friendly staff. Love the surf and turf. On Sundays, better come early before the church crowd come in.

Trail Boss Steak & Grill in Kerrville is a restaurant that offers a mix of standout dishes and a welcoming atmosphere. Many guests have praised the chicken fried steak, with some calling it the best ever, along with the sirloin steak cooked perfectly to medium. The fried calamari is amazing, and the steaks and salads are incredible. The green beans are perfectly cooked, pleasingly snappy and flavorful, and the sautéed spinach is perfectly prepared. The house made mashed potatoes are good old fashioned, slightly lumpy and buttery. The chop steak topped with sautéed onions, mushrooms and peppers with the house made brown gravy is outstanding. The quality of the beef is juicy and flavorful. Breakfast options include a delicious omelette with mushrooms and Swiss cheese and added avocado, plus avocado toast and coffee. The surf and turf ribeye features shrimp that steals the spotlight, and the Peach Cobbler desert is very good. Service is superb and outstanding, with the staff and atmosphere great. Some found the fries tasted like they were cooked in burnt oil and the meat lacks seasoning, and the biscuits and gravy with sausage had extremely salty gravy. The restaurant uses real beef tallow rather than industrial seed oils. A new lunch menu offers a $10.99 chicken fried steak lunch portion, and a great steak dinner and sides for $10.99 with 1/2 price drinks. Homemade rolls with butter are addictive. Reservations are recommended.
