“Born in raised in Cajun country I usually tend to stay away from most crawfish and Cajun restaurants in other areas of the country but I was assured this place was legit. I was so impressed, I have yet to have anything bad there (I mostly eat boiled seafood every time or fried shrimp). Don’t let the size of the building fool you, there is some great cooking coming out of that small place.Worth the drive to Kilgore.“
“Always a treat to stop here in the mornings. I love the glazed donuts, kolaches, and breakfast burritos. The homemade salsa the burritos come with is absolutely BOMB, too. Also highly recommend the breakfast sandwich on Texas toast. Just try everything. It's awesome.“
“Great atmosphere, pleasant staff, delicious food, and reasonable prices. A gem in Overton. The chips were fresh and tasted fried in the restaurant. The regular salsa did not hit the spot, but mix it with some of the hot salsa they bring on request (fresh tasting red tomato, with cilantro, garlic, salt, and probably some jalapeño) and the chips and salsa are a real winner! Our waitress asked if we wanted our combos "as featured" on the menu; which means they are more than willing to make things the way you want them. I'll be back, experiment, and figure out my favorite. $3 for iced tea was the only sour note and seems excessive. But, they clearly brew it fresh so, okay. Restaurant was very clean. Parking is plentiful. There are non-Mexican food options.“
“This place is so good! We moved here from Orlando & have definitely felt the loss of Michelin-competing food. Judd’s completely fills that hole! Their prices are fully reasonable ($145 after tip for 6 people), and I’ve never seen a place fill their cocktails up so high! None of that “vegas ice” here! The place is cool, quiet, and clean. The atmosphere was so welcoming and calm. Not too quiet (e.g. not the kind where you’re afraid you’ll scrape your plate and everyone will stare) but not loud at all. They have a full bar, and a bartender that knows how to use it. The servers were all so sweet, and checked on us just the right about. They didn’t even come by when I’d just taken a bite, ha!The food was genuinely delectable. Every single thing we ate, we were all impressed with. All of it!“
“The food is quite good if you like the cuisine, I find fried foods tasteless though, so don't go by my a fickle taste buds. I truly enjoyed the key lime pie and the hush puppies are the best I've ever had. Service was amazing and the atmosphere is that of a popular small town eaterie, it's comforting and unassuming.“
“My wife had a taste for seafood, and we have been here before. But today, Friday, February 2, 2024, it was awesome.Just after three so we missed the luncheon special. No problem! My wife got her two whole catfish with some onion rings and I got catfish filets with sausage jambalaya. Why I did that? (I did not want fries.) But bae-bae, that jambalaya wasn't no joke. We got our food, we were quieter than church mice cause we were eating good!!! I even ate my coleslaw... I don't eat coleslaw!Food and service were absolutely great. Can't wait to come back.“
“The food is absolutely amazing!! Only two people working there so service isn't the same as large restaurants, but super sweet people and they take care of you. Road construction makes it hard to get there....but it is so very worth it. Prices are great for the amount of food you get.“
